The website is coming together!

I've been doing a lot of on-and-off work on the website over the past couple of weeks! I think I've mostly got the layout down at this point however I definitely haven't made any decisions about colors and am still using the defaults from the cyanobacteria template.

I've also made a little "journal" on the homepage to show the two most recent news posts. It was actually really a pain to get the "Read More" links to look the way I wanted to, mainly because of wanting the text to fade off at the end of the page. Because of this I have to put the fade on the actual text box, and not the enire page, otherwise the "Read More" would also be faded. Of course this means I have to manually cut off the text at some point as it fades over the full height even if it's not visible.

There's also been quite a bit of finagling to get the website to look decent on mobile. Big thanks to KKCYBER's 404cafe club as I was able to borrow their method of setting the minimum width of the small sections to 198px to prevent things from getting too smushed on mobile. Images of how everything currently looks is below, which is also my method of testing my adaptation of the "photopile" code from ribozone.
